Founder of d3o takes extended sabbatical
Richard Palmer, founder of d3o, the impact protection technology company, takes an extended sabbatical to go travelling and adventuring.
Palmer: “It has been a long journey, full of excitement as well as a huge amount of work; I feel I have worked 20 years in the last 5! I have created a great brand and solid foundation and I am confident our new CEO, Stuart Sawyer, will continue to build a successful business from it.”
“I relish the chance to recharge my batteries and see some of the world for pleasure rather that business!” Palmer continues, “There have been many thrills & spills along the way, I have had a lot of fun and built a fantastic team who will carry the company on into a bright future.”
Stuart Sawyer: “I have worked closely with Richard over the last 18 months, 6 months as CEO. Richard has done an incredible job to bring the technology from concept to market and build such a strong brand. Having travelled myself with my family a few years ago, I know Richard will benefit greatly from such a well deserved break.”
Palmer retains his shareholding and continues to be involved with the company as a director and member of the Board.
The company wishes Richard well and thanks him for all the energy and sacrifices he has made to get d3o to where it is today.
