Nike Lunarlite Foam Technology

Published by under Athletic

lunarfoamTypically, making a lightweight shoe means sacrificing stability or cushioning. Footwear can quickly get pushed to the point where it starts to break down. Since Nike’s mission is creating innovation for athletes, the obsession has led to a relentless search for new solutions to old problems. The ultimate running footwear should have everything—cushioning, stability and lightweight performance. Lunarlite foam made this goal a reality. It took nearly four years to get all three, but you could say Lunarlite foam was 36 years in the making.

It started back in 1971 with a quote from Geoff Hollister, one of Nike’s earliest employees. He strapped on the first prototypes of Bill Bowerman’s iconic Waffle sole and said, “It was like running on pillows.” Nike designer Kevin Hoffer read the quote in 2004, kicking off his search for cushioning that would recreate that Continue reading »

Noene shock absorbing technology *Review*

Published by under Athletic,Fitness,Reviews,running

noeneToday we propose a review about Noene insoles, special plantar that  we tested in various terrain conditions and speeds. review

The sole prerogative of these insoles is the reduction of negative impacts resulting from the trauma of sportsmen during physical exercise, especially running.

Generally we can describe the phenomenon by recalling that in the past the man ran barefoot, flipped on a natural terrain, such as forests, grasslands, soil, sand, a soft surface, sweet and more suited to the human locomotor sensitive: the spine, muscles and tendons. This type of soil, due to its elasticity and structure, absorbed most of the shock waves, vibrations and shocks created by man.

Nowadays, we are forced to walk (or train) often hard on soils: asphalt, concrete, marble, tiles, etc … These surfaces do not Continue reading »
