The 25^th anniversary summer Universiade will be held in Belgrade starting from today July 1st up to July 12th 2009 (www.universiade-belgrade2009.org). Some 9.000 athletes – students from 140 countries will compete in 15 sports and 208 disciplines. Serbia will welcome athletes who will compete in athletics, judo, football, basketball, fencing, volleyball, swimming, rhythmic gymnastics, diving, artistic gymnastics, table tennis, archery, tennis, taekwondo and water polo.

Sports event of this size requires ample preparations, including building and reconstruction of sport venues. MONDO has contributed to support the event by supplying and installing the main and warm-up athletic track at the Red Star and Military Academy Training Stadia with Sportflex Super X Performance in red colour and in the thickness of 13 mm for a total of approx. 20.000 sqm. The works have been completed in less than a month, thanks also to the support of MONDO local distributor, company BM Engineering – Mr. Bozidar Novakovic.
