3RD ASIAN INDOOR GAMES 2009
VIETNAM (30 OCTOBER – 8 NOVEMBER 2009)

After having successfully hosted the 22nd SEA Games in 2003, Vietnam confidently plays the role of the third Asian Indoor Games organizer in 2009 (http://www.vaigoc2009.com/english/tabid/507/language/en-US/Default.aspx). Again, Vietnam is determined to excellently host this large scale Games to make it the most memorable sport event with the Asian culture and oriental style.

This is the third time the Asian Indoor Games will take place, after Bangkok in 2005 and Macao in 2007. The Games are initiated by the Olympic Council of Asia in the spirit of ” a booming and developing Asia.” The competition program consists of twenty sports, four demonstration sports including the Shuttle Cock and Vovinam martial arts offered by the host.

The third Asian Indoor Games will bring about the chance for Vovinam – a Vietnamese martial art branch – to show itself in an international arena.

MONDO once again is pleased to be part of it, by having supplied the whole banked portable structure and the synthetic floor material for the athletics track at the My Dinh Indoor Athletics Gymnasium in Hanoi.
The Mondo banked portable track is one of our custom made indoor solutions and consists of a modular frame made of galvanized steel trusses and unique locking features allowing easy assembly and dismantle. The rubber Mondo Sportflex Super X or Mondotrack materials are installed in-situ on, then the whole system can be sized and packaged to reduce storage space. All related material such as safety equipment and protection barriers can be provided together with the track.
The 3rd Asian Indoor Games track is approx. 3.500 sqm, with the oval in beige and blue colours and the infield area in green colour.
