B10 PERSONALIZED TRACK
The B10 Organising Committee has decided to print the word ‘Barcelona’ in huge letters on the 100m track, realized with Mondotrack SX surface and equipped with Mondo sport equipment.
This is an absolute novelty for an outdoor championships: so far, only the logos have appeared at the championships. With an impressive size of 40 x 4.75 metres, the word Barcelona shines on the brand new blue Mondo track.

AN ENVIROMENTALLY FRIENDLY EVENT
The European Athletics Championships Barcelona 2010 is approaching the task and responsibility of preparing and executing the event as environmentally friendly as possible. With the use of returnable cups in both the Montjuïc Olympic Stadium and Market Square, the B10 Organizing Committee wants to contribute to a more environmentally conscious thinking and actions for everyone involved.
Visitors can purchase their cup for 1€ (deposit), refill it as often as wished and return it upon use or keep it as souvenir.
In total there are five reusable plastic cups that can be collected, four designed for the public and one for VIP’s in the cooperative color of the event, orange.

A LITTLE TASTE OF ITALY
The European Athletics Championships will be held on Spanish soil for the first time ever.
The venue, the Estadio Olímpic de Montjuïc Lluís Companys, hosted the Olympic Games in 1992. After the ceremony the first competition will kick off on 27 July; the Championships will conclude/will end on 1 August. Five of 47 disciplines, the Marathon and Race Walk events, will be held in downtown Barcelona.

However B10 events will partially taste of Italy: Casa Italia, held by the Italian Athletic Federation (FIDAL) will offer to Barcelona guests and citizens the chance to savour Italian cuisine both in Hotel Grand Marina and in the two campa of Boqueria and Maremagnum.
